Future Primitive Sound concert posters/packaging

CLIENT Future Primitive Sound

For a few years in San Francisco, the Future Primitive Soundsession parties were the most innovative (and crowded!) shows happening in town. Plinko worked with the Future Primitive Sound crew from the very beginning, working on numerous posters & CD packaging throughout almost a decade of bringing music to the people. Eventually, the company launched both a record and clothing label.

Going against every principle of branding, the Future Primitive crew liked to create a new look for almost every event, which always kept us on our toes. Here’s a small sampling of some designs over the years, including the infamous “45 Session” (aka the Brainfreeze CD) show with DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, and the label’s first U.S. tour with DJ Z-Trip.

In addition to working on their events, Plinko designed nearly all the releases on Future Primitive’s record label, as well as various apparel designs for the offshoot clothing label.
